From Vickie: Following Is Part Of
My Daily Prayer Routine. May These
Prayers Enrich Yours.

Open my eyes to your presence.
Open my mind to your grace.
Open my lips to your praises.
Open my heart to your Love.
Open my hands to your service.
Prayer of Praise and Thanksgiving
God of Wonder, you shower me with miracles each day of my
life.
For the innumerable treasures I take for granted, I thank
you.
Open my eyes to see and my heart to appreciate the beauty
in all creation.
God of Compassion, you enfold me in gentleness and forgive
my frailties.
For your endless mercy and unfaltering faith in me, I
thank you.
Strengthen me when despair tempts my spirit and doubt
invades my soul.
God of Creativity, you astonish me with the unexpected.
For new insights
and challenges to call forth growth, I thank you.
Guide me ever forward and keep me from stagnation.
God of Justice, you charge me with bringing your presence
to our world.
For people and
experiences that call me to advocacy and to action, I thank you.
Teach me to stand humble and respectfully with your
beloved ones.
Help me God of All Gifts, to share
my many blessings and to receive the graces offered by others. Amen. ( Adapted Celtic
Prayer)
Renewal Of Baptismal Covenant (BCP, 292)
In the Name of Jesus Christ, and
with His help,
I will faithfully continue in the
apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the
prayers.
Where there is evil, I will resist
it
Whenever I fall into sin, I will
repent and return to the Lord.
I will proclaim by both word and
example the Good News of God in Christ.
I will seek and serve Christ in
all persons, loving my neighbor as myself.
I will strive for justice and
peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being.
Additional Prayers And Petition
For all the wrongs
others have committed against me, knowingly or unknowingly, I forgive them.
For all the wrongs
I have committed against others, knowingly or unknowingly, I forgive myself.
For all the wrongs
I have committed against myself, knowingly or unknowingly, I forgive myself.
Buddhist Meditation
Repeat the following phrases first for yourself, then for
a trusted companion, then for a neutral person, and finally for a disliked
person.
May
I be filled with loving kindness.
May I
be free from fear,
May I
be free from suffering
May I
be filled with joy.
May I
be at peace and at ease.
May my road be easy and my burden be light.
May I be happy.
Closing Prayers
Teach
me your ways, Lord That I may be open to the same Spirit
Who
moved over the face of the waters
And
moves also over the chaos of this time
To
fashion a day like this, a world like ours,
A life
like mine.
Teach
me your ways, Lord, That I may praise you
For all
the surprising, ingenious ways you bless me,
And for
all the wondrous gifts you give me
Through
artists who introduce me To the beauty of holiness.
Teach
me your ways, Lord
That I
may accept my own talent openly,
Nurture
it hopefully,
Develop
it faithfully,
And
give it freely.
Teach
me your ways, Lord,
that I may be swept up in worship with the saints
which surges in wonder, gratitude and obedience,
and shapes my life into an irrepressible YES to YOU
and YES to all my sisters and brothers.
This I
ask in your Holy Name. Amen

May it
