Second Sunday Outreach

Each Second Sunday is designated as Outreach Sunday. On this Sunday a special collection of money and food stuffs is taken up for our outreach efforts.

Christmas In July

Christmas in July is a special celebration for us all. It is a full=blown Christmas Service, hymns, lessons and all. Unique to our celebration is the collection of food stuffs, money to support our pantry and discretionary fund.

Santa honors us with an appearance each year, distributing gifts to the children and giving special gifts to one or two parishioners who have been "extra good", recognizing their service within the church or community. Christmas treats are shared by all and it's great to sing Christmas Carols in the heat of the summer!

Greater Downtown Pulaski Alliance

Christ Church is a member of the Greater Downtown Pulaski Alliance, an organization dedicated to the revitialization of the downtown area of Pulaski and of the entire town. The Group sponsers events and festivals throughout the year.

Blessing of the Animals

Christ Church hosts a community "Blessing of the Animals" each year in October on the Sunday closest to the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Each year we bless a wide range of God's creatures-rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, snakes, mice, horses, lambs dogs and cats! It's always a great time!

LITURGICAL MINISTRIES

Acolyte Team:

Acolytes help the priest serve at the altar during worship services. Acolyte Ministry is open to all member from age 8 to age????. Generally, this ministry is the first Liturgical Ministry our young folks participate in as it helps them to follow the order of the service and understand some of the "whys" and "how" and "whats" of our worship services.

Altar Guild

Members of the Altar Guild are responsible for preparing the Nave (main worship area of the church) for all services. Members set the altar, post the hymns, and clear the altar after worship. They also are responsible for laundering the Altar Linens, and the old favorite "Polishing the Brass and Silver." These folks really are the ones who make our worship run smoothly.

Membership is open to all. Members serve one Sunday a month. They also serve at special events such as weddings and funerals.

Choir

Members of Christ Episcopal Church love to sing! We have a small but talented choir which leads us in our worship services. The choir meets for practice before the 11 Am service, at 9:45 AM. Choir membership is open to all.
